Advocates for TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) and Community Cats
The homeless cat crisis is not just a small town problem, but a global issue. To make difference, we must act locally.
Our mission is to reduce the overpopulation of free-roaming cats in Northwest Ohio through our Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program. We also assist with kitten rescue and rehabilitation. We are dedicated to improving and protecting the lives of feral/stray/homeless/abandoned “community” cats, and the neighborhoods they live in, through education and community outreach.
Making a difference one ear tip at a time
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane and effective method for managing feral/community cat populations. TNR stops the breeding cycle, reduces fighting within colonies and the spread of diseases.
What you can do to help Community Cats
There are millions of cats who make their homes outdoors. They are commonly referred to as feral, free-roaming, stray and community cats, and there are many ways that you can improve these cats’ lives.
TNR Saves Lives.
TNR Works.
The phrase “TNR Saves Lives” is much broader than the feral/stray/homeless/abandoned “community” cats we care for. It also encompasses the colony caretakers. For the Love of Cats primarily works in underserved areas of communities. We are often times the only help that individuals or neighborhoods will receive in managing the overpopulation of community cats. For the caretakers, it’s not only a financial burden, but very much the emotional attachment to the cats. We do more than trap and sterilize cats. We are a support system in the humane solution of managing cat colonies. Collaborating with the right partners is a powerful tool in what some might define as an impossible task. We hope you’ll join us helping not only the community cats but those that need our help the most. TNR Saves Lives. TNR Works.
